I am 29 years old and for some reason I resently missed my period and was not prenant. My doctor says that I am not ovulating. I am afraid that this could be something serious. Can anyone out there with GYN expertise let me know what the this could possibly be (best and worst case senario)? I have an appoint with my doctor on 9/9/0, but I am very scared and the wait is killing me.

  1. Body fat percentage being too low.

A hormonal imbalance, you need the right hormones at the right time to release an egg.  You also need the right hormones at the right time to have a period.

BCP (birth control pills) work by stopping ovulation.  It can take months of not taking them for things to right themselves.

Worse case scenarios are also the most unlikely and I won't scare you, unnecessarily with those.

    good luck!

  2. It may just simply be stress. Remember its when you relax that your period may come if stress it the culprit.
