What can cause a low acceleration and top speed performance?

I'm experience a low car performance these days, I have changed the spark plugs many times, and every time i found it not in a good condition, there is a yellow paint on the white ceramic material of the plug, what can cause this?

I have Peugeot 206 1.4 8v, what is the best plug brand name to use?

i use ngk's in pretty much everything i have, even my mowers. yellow paint? do you mean just a glazing? if the insulator has a yellowish, glazed appearance it indicates a sudden rise in combustion chamber temperature during hard acceleration. normal deposits melt to form a conductive coating and causes misfire at higher speeds. try using a plug in a colder heat range.
