My boyfriend recently started a new job as an electrician. He has been working at his new job for two and a half weeks. Over the past few days he has been experiencing numbness and tingling in his hands. He says it feels like they are asleep. There is very little pain or discomfort and it is in both of his hands but more so his right hand. He is right handed. He says it comes on gradually and it has been waking him in the middle of the night. I am really concerned. I have been having him take Advil regularly and he says it helps but it doesn't get rid of it completely. Does anyone know what this could be? We are thinking it could just be inflamation from using his hands a lot more than he's used to. But is it possible that's its carpel tunnel? Can it come on that quickly? I mean he's only been at his new job for two and a half weeks. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. : D

Thank you!
