  1. You need to get it checked out by a doctor.  Diabetic wounds can be serious, and lead to VERY serious complications if left untreated.

  2. Put Aloe Vera juice or gel on it daily...preferably from a broken stem of a live Aloe Vera plant...one of the best healing agents for the skin there is and absolutely superb on burns.

  3. Wounds that refuse to heal can be extremely dangerous to a diabetic.  Make sure your doctor takes a look at it, you may need to be treated with some strong antibiotics.  If you have already seen your doctor and the treatment is not working, you should contact a Wound Center.  They have special treatments for diabetics with wounds that will not heal.  If left untreated, it could develop gangrene.  Be sure to get your blood sugars under control.  High blood sugars can make healing take much longer and can cause other complications

  4. Get your blood sugar controlled and your wound will heal fast. No amount of antibiotics or meds will get your wound healed if your diabetes is uncontrolled.

  5. You MUST seek medical attention.  Chronic unhealing wounds, particularly on the lower extremities of a diabetic a very very dangerous.  There a doctors and clincs that specialize in treating chronic wounds, your general practitioner or endocrinologist can refer you.

  6. I won't comment on what you should do but I will say, If a nurses or a doctor on YA advises you to get yourself to the doctor do it A.S.A.P.
