What can governments do now to prevent the damage of the global warming?

Global warming is not only a government concern it is everybody's concern. What the Government can do now is to initiate an information campaign  and stress the  effects of global warming. And at the same time take actions to control or correct the  problems that contributes  in this worldwide dilema.

The Government should involve all its constituents and all people to help one way or another to address this problem.

There are scientific ways to cope with environmental problem

that government can do to even stop global warming.

1.Pour Tonnes and Tonnes of Iron Dust into the Ocean. To Bloom the growth of algae. This will help to absorb carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and curb global warming. It also increase source of food in the marine life as more algae means more food.

2.Plant A large amount of tree that are equal to size of texas each year. More tree help to abosrb more carbon dioxide and it also create habitats for wildlife.

3.Store and Capture Excess Carbon dioxide. You store all the carbon dioxide and pump it into the bottom of the ocean. These form lakes of liquid Carbon dioxide thus trapping it into the ocean.

All these will only work under the cooperation of the goverments and require international support to do this.

Now a days,in recent times(say form last century) the human activities are catalysing Global warming to a significant extent

causing speeding up this Natural process of global warming.

mainly contributed by fossils Fuel emission,Deforestation,CFC based industries such as refrigeration,Pressurrised pakaging,Nuclear tests(above earths surface)

CFC are also the main cause of depletion of the ozone layer.

forestation,latest technology in refrigeration,lead free fuel,Biofuels,solar energy technology,reduced use of paper must be promoted.

Governments could start by telling us the truth.  If the New Statesmen is to be believed, the global temperature of 2007 is statistically the same as 2006 and every year since 2001.

The real damage being caused by belief in one side of the argument in the global warming debate is the ability of  government to...

1. use our gullibility to achieve increases in taxation

2. use our gullibility to divert attention from government failure to plan for and implement effective transport systems

3. put unfair pressure on developing nations to restrict their use of fossil fuels, and thus attempting to inhibit the expansion of their economies

4. use the excuse of "global warming" to propogate a "positive message" of an "environmentally sound" nuclear energy programme.

IF in fact there is to be some sort of catastrophic global warming, all that man can do is prepare for it.  For example.....IF the sea levels are going to rise, then move to higher ground.

The Earth naturally has had cycles of cooling and warming for millions of years.  It has and will happen with or without man.

If man wants to build at sea-level..... then man has to deal with the risks of being there.
