I have a 2 year old. And like almost a month a go, she burn herself with my iron. (I know is my fault) the burn was smaller than a quarter. But a couple of days later we went to a doctor apt, that I had schedule a couple weeks before the burn. Well the doctor asked what happened and I told her. That when I answer the door, I left the iron on and closed the door. But my child opened the door and burned herself. Well the doctor call human services and they open an investigation.

I took her in, so a different doctor will check her. (to the DHS office) The new doctor said that everything was fine. That this things happened and that everything was an accident.

Well, since first day the DHS worker contact me. She has been very rude and treats me as if I was a criminal and she's very defensive to all of my questions. She acts as if I get on her nerves when I ask questions.

Today, she called because she needed some numbers and I told her that I thought it was over. Very rudely she said no that she had 60 days to close the investigation and she's just very hateful. And the fact that she's so rude makes me very nervous. I love my children, they are all healthy and I never had this issues. What should I do?

  1. Tell her it's accident and get over with it! If she bother you tell on the boss on her for harassing you, and every parents get accident too, it's does not mean you child abused unless if you punch, kick, and else abuse then it's abuse.

  2. WHAT THE h**l IS HAPPENING TO OUR WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  3. Ask to speak to her supervisor.  You will threatened and afraid of her.  Be open to their investigation but say you need a new lady.  That way you are compromising with them.

Welcome them to come check in but also refer to them to the second doctors opinion.  Make them give you an exact date for it to be over in writing and then make sure they abide by it by referring to it constantly or taking them to court if they continue to harass you.

You will have to go through this since our system sucks so much.  I'm sorry this is happening to you especially since kids who come in repeatedly abused never get noticed.

  4. Ask for a different person to be put on your case. Tell them that you just don't feel comfortable with her and you find her to be rude.If they keep hassling you, contact a lawyer
