  1. Vitamin C is water soluble so you cant overdose on it. Your body will just "dispose" of whatever its doesn't need.

  2. It's never good to take too much of anything, and yes, you can overdose on vitamins and minerals.  Normally extra vitamin c is expelled in the urine.  But you keep that up, I'm sure you'll develop some problems somewhere.  Best of luck to you.

  3. I've got a question for you: why the heck would anyone take 42 Vit C pills a day for 2 weeks?

  4. too much vitamin C leads to a OSMOTIC DIARRHEA!  not fun!

  5. Your face turns orange.

  6. In response to boomer gal, it is because there are ignorant people out there who are used by the vitamin sellers to make vast amounts of money.

The main effect of taking this amount of vitamin C is two-fold.

First, you will waste money, if you have enough money then go ahead.

Second you will demonstrate that you know nothing about how to look after your body.

The idea that extra Vit. C can help any condition was started in the1950s by an American scientist, Linus Pauling, who wanted to sell his book and Vit. C and make loads of money - and he did!!

  7. Vitamins can never be overdosed, if they do they will all come out through urine

  8. I think vitamin C is water soluble, so you'll just pee most of it out.

  9. Most of these people have no idea what they are talking about. First, Linus Pauling won TWO Nobel Prizes, and certainly didn't need the money from any of his books.  Secondly, you can overdose on anything, even water. Just because Vit C (ascorbic acid) is water soluble (as are all other vitamins except A, D, E and K), doesn't mean that excess will be excreted.  This would be true under normal conditions, but if you really overload the system, it is very likely that your kidneys would fail, and then you would not excrete the excess.  From a strictly scientific/physiologic point of view, you can overdose on Vit C.  My suggestion is DON'T DO IT.

  10. back in time they thought it  caused kidney stones, but the experts don't have any solid proof of any harmful side effects. but if you take a lot of vitamin c it can give you diarrhea and stomachaches.

and 2 it doesn't matter what you take you can overdose on anything, some things don't cause as much damage as others but anything that you take has there side effects. so always be careful with what you take into your body and how much you take.
