  1. (I have assumed you're talking about a desktop PC, not a laptop.)

    1) It will make more noise than usual...

    2) If the case is on the floor there's a great risk of kicking it (accidentally or on purpose!) and damaging the components/cables inside...

    3) There may be the remote risk of electrocution, but there are normally no exposed, live electrical parts easily accessible in the case.

    4) It will encourage poking fingers and you may find some pieces missing if you are in an office environment!! :-o

    5) It may even be nice to take the whole thing out of the case and use it as a "conversation piece" http://www.neowin.net/forum/lofiversion/...

  2. NOTHING happens to it...in fact....its only better for the computer as long as it in a cool and clean (none dusty) place....helps cool down your processor and run much more smoother......

  3. Dust and dirt can get in easier. Bugs can also get in easier. You could accidentally cause a static charge and blow the motherboard or a card.

  4. maybe nothing ,But it is not a good IDEA at all..

  5. Not much will happen. Heat will be let out more easily and any airflow paths will be redundant as all the air will (more slowly) go out through the space where the cover was removed. Otherwise if its operating in a stable atmosphere, no extremely dangerous situations will arise.

  6. Better cooling....

Dust accumulation is the same, because of airflow.

There is a russian online that just nailed his entire computer to a wall....there is no case at all...
