  1. So something relaxing before you go to bed like have some warm milk, chamomile tea, or enjoy a hot bath. You can even try something that is over the counter like benydryle or Tylenol pm but I would recommend staying away from that if you can fall asleep without it. If your scared of the noises then try to fall asleep with some calming music on. Good luck

  2. meditation,  music,  melatonin and evening primrose oil.

and getting over it also will help.

you can't keep this up, you'll die if you do.

buy some LED candles also.. they operate off of batteries.

and talking to someone professional about this will help.. something is on your mind in some way... either from since childhood or something you've adopted that is bad for your overall in general.

also,  make a diary of your diet.. and change your diet.. maybe you need also to cut out any drinking.. smoking OR diary..    maybe you're intaking too much protein and OR again.. maybe you've got an allergy to something you eat.. which can cause anything from a simple rash, sinus irritation to mental disorders.

time to start tackling this...   start slow.. start small.

and meditate.. getting some oxygen into that brain of yours may help considerably.. most times any disorder of the brain and body is a simple lack of oxygen to the blood cells.

  3. Here's nine priceless tips that work like crazy.

1- Stop worrying at night. When insomnia is happening to me it is because " I have million things to solve ". Then I say to myself "Stop, Magdalena. You can't resolve anything at 3 a.m."

2- Instead worrying, count backwards from 200, taking a deep breathe between each number and also visualizing clearly each number.

3- Or count sheep, but you should imagine only sleeping sheep

4- A superb trick is to move your toes of both feet at the same time, up and down, more than 30 times or until you feel tired and want to sleep.

5- Concentrate on "not thinking" pattern. And if comes any thought you gentle say "go away..."

6- To avoid insomnia, convince your spouse to give you a massage on full body before bedtime. It works wonderful. If not, even a scalp massage can be a big help.

    7-Sleep on your back.

8- If you wake up in middle of night and can't sleep, get up and do something non stimulating. Go back to bed when you feel tired.

9-Yawn four-five times. It will be a signal for your brain that is time to sleep.

    I hope I helped you a bit.

  4. You should try Melatonin. It is sold in the vitamin aisle, and it is completely natural. Melatonin is found in high concentration in babies, that's why they sleep a lot. Your body produces itself some but not as much when you are an adult. I swear by it and take it every night. Takes about 30 minutes to work, and i have had some great night sleep with it.

  5. cannibis... Try it and if it works ask your doc for a prescription for medical weed for insomia.

  6. If you freak out when its really dark then why not leave a little lamp on in your bedroom at night, or even better, leave the tv at a low volume so there's sound as well.  That way there wont be enough going on to keep you awake but it wont be dark and deadly quiet to freak you out and stop you from relaxing either!

Try doing all the usual things that can help you to sleep to-make sure you get enough exercise during the day so you're tired out at night.  Avoid doing things that stimulate you when its near your bedtime, let yourself wind down. Dont drink too much caffeine during the day.

Im not sure why antibiotics would be recommend as I've never heard of them helping you sleep!  But if your problem persists you shouldnt be scared to buy some over the counter sleeping aid tablets to help you feel drowsy.

    Good luck.

  7. Sounds like you need to relax, start a course of vitamin "B" complex, also try before you go to bed a good relaxing tea with a mixture of chamomile lemon balm and Valerian. we get it here in Austria and Germany called in German Sleep well tea by a company called tee kanna. there must be some thing on the same line or try St Johns Wort tea. also put lavender oil on your pillow, so you go to sleep with the smell of lavender

  8. antibiotics generally arent used for sleep...

Valarian Root is an herble supplement I use every now and then.  Essentially, Valium is VERY VERY highly concentrated valarian root (like problem 100 pills or more).

You can find it in any whole or health food store.  it comes in pills and in a liquid.

    Good luck.

  9. 1. If silence is bothering you, try white noise - I have a small fan running in my bedroom at night. It helps a lot.

    2. Same with darkness. Leave a light on. Get a nightlight even. Leave a t.v. on and set the "sleep" timer on it to go off in an hour. That can keep you company.

    3. For me keeping the temperature low is a must.

I've linked below to other advice given for insomnia.

  10. Try Nytol sleeping tablets..work really well and leaves you feeling fresh in the morning x

    or

    Kalms sleeping tablets

    good luck x
