  1. http://www.horses-and-horse-information....

This site has a long list

  2. Horses can eat:

All grasses(thin stemmed), Bermuda's, blue stem, oats(yes oats are a grass) etc.

Grains, wheat, barley, corn, soy, etc.

Legumes(if cut and dried, green on the stem legumes horses don't like the taste), alfalfa and peanuts(yes peanut hay is great its just not as pretty as alfalfa)

    Others

    sugar beat pulp, cotton seed

    Horses can not eat

Broad leaf plants, most broad leaf plants are poisonous like Nightshade, water hemlock, lupines, milk weeds.

    Stone fruits, peaches, apricots etc.

There is far more for each list but these are the basics, I would recommend going to http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/index.... for a more detailed list.

  3. They trend to like most non-poisonous photosynthetic organisms.  Don't feed them saphrophytic organisms, known poisons (castor beans comes to mind), thorny plants, plants with white sap or berries, plants with leaves arranged in threes, or woody plants.  You might avoid anything that resembles a tomato, parsley, or carrot...many plants resembling these are toxic.  You can feed them any fruiot or vegetable that you will eat, all grains, hay, straw, alfalfa, and most grasses.

They don't eat meat, barbed wire, or computer parts.

  4. Thats simple to answer!  Anything has has been approved by the ag. dept.!  Anything else?  Your on your own!  Its your money to pay the vet!  I bet the home made recipe people wont help with your vet bills!

  5. They cant eat lamps, televisions, KoolAid, condoms, cell phones, tampons, babies, sharp objects, hobos, stuffed animals, microwaves, forks, dinosaures, Wii's, calenders, bed frames, computers, pianoes, snowboards, guitars, famous people, chinese, prom dresses, kurt cobain, eye liner, carpet, older brothers, candles, hair dye, William Collier, credit cards, feet, pillows, old people toenails, chairs, raincoats, tea, golfers, fetuses, firemen, strippers, nuns, desks, Jimmy Nuetron, Spongebob, and s*x toys.

    Thats about it...

  6. And yet...a different type of list...Don't know exactly what you are wondering they can or can't eat...
