I have a cardboard cover for my fish tank but it keeps getting wet. I need to know if there is some sort of waterproof fabric i can wrap around it. I've seen some cardboard products before wrapped in some sort of plastic that looked like leather or some kind of animal skin.

Anyone know where i can get that stuff?

  1. Why not try sticky kitchen shelf liner?  DIY stores should have it.  It comes on a roll and you cut it to size, peel the backing off and away you go.

  2. I would go with Ozgirl's answer I think the trade name is "Fablon" you can get it at any DIY store B&Q etc.

  3. Take strips of duct tape and just place them on the cardboard.

  4. If you wrap it with packaging tape that should be enough to make it splash proof. It won't look pretty but you can easily wipe water off the surface of it.

  5. Spray it with scotchgard!

    You may also try silicone.

  6. Go to the regular grocer and ask them for a waxed coated box..they use them in the produce section and meat department to transport and receive thier products ..they are already "splash proof" annd they will give them to you free

  7. You can use fablon, its available in most shops like Wilkinsons or B&Q. You could also try Ebay.

  8. cling film

  9. clingfilm

    or laminate it

    foil ??
