I have an answer. You should buy a webkinz for her. They are online pets that come to life. If you have a computer that will do. You might want to go to the nearest Hallmark and find one. If that doesn't work, get her a tamagtchi. These are egg shaped electronics that hatches pets to take care of. You can find these at target. Or you might want to have a trip to build-a-bear workshop. You can find that at the Mall of America, Mayfair Mall, and much more malls. Please use my advice.

what is she into? My daughter loved (and still does at 9) Beanie Kids and Crafts. Hated Barbie and Bratz etc. You know her better than us. You could always ask her to write a wish list and choose a couple of things off it. Or make it a day out. Take her shopping to pick something and go for lunch

My daughter wants webkinz and build a bear stuff. She also likes clothes but sometimes kids don't want that for a gift. If she likes to shop get her a gift card to her favorite store and a webkinz and put them in the gift bag together.

I bought my daughter some "make it yourself" jewelry and art sets. Sitting with her and helping her make jewelry and watching her create art was a good way to connect with her and let her creative juices start flowing.

1. webkins are huge right now. they sell them in flower shops & card stores. they have clothes, charms bags & bookmarks. you can get her a whole set. my daughter is 7 and all the kids on the block have tons of them. they play with the toy and then go on line and play as well.

2.a new bathing suit, towel, crocs (or sandals)and a pair of sunglasses would be a cool gift all wrapped up in a beach bag.

3.my daughter has grown out of barbie so i don't recommend them. i know a few 5-6 yr old girls and they are done w/ barbie too.

Ask her mom what she's into.  I have a 7 year old and she's into Camp Rock stuff, Hannah Montana stuff, drawing, playing with her Leapster, listening to music, doing craft kits, and recently scrapbooking.  She got a scrapbooking kit for her birthday and loved doing it.  She also got a Barbie which she did NOT like.  She was over Barbies about age 5, so think very carefully before getting her one.
