I posted a ad to sell my pup and my little girl who is 11 yr old came out and someone email me with VERY sick thing to say about her can i do something like talk the police?HELP

I am not blaming you but you as amother should be more carefull.  There are lots of sick people out there.  If I were you I would never place my daughters pic.  Please report this sick man ASAP

The guy's just trying to get a reaction out of you so he can steal your email address and add it to a list he's planning to sell.

You can forward it to the police, but likely, the guy set up a fake email address and they won't get anywhere.

Just forget it - this guy will get even with himself all his life.  You don't need to.

you can turn them into spam do you have that on the computer i am not sure if you can get police to do something about it in email not sure what the laws are and if they respond to that but it helps to spam them l am sorry for your problem take care.

OF COURSE you can report it.  Let the police determine what needs to be done.  If there isn't anything they can do, they can tell you that.

For heaven's sake.. it is clear that the person was at your home, in order to have made that statement.

well that happened where I live and they didn't do much. It depends on where your from. In the case I'm talking about the man was a cop so that didn't do anything for us. But i would definitely try to tell the police because you don't want that to go any further than it already has.

Why would you want to sell your pup and your little girl?  Sorry I could not help that, but your sentence structure is lacking.

Did they threaten you?  If not, forget it.  If they did, the police might be able to help.  Did you post a picture of your little girl with the dog.  That is a bad thing to do, there are a bunch of sicko's out there.

if they are addressing a child, yes, speak to the police.  you might not know who this person is, and they need to be identified so that you can protect your daughter.

Yep, let the police know.  They can find out exactly where the email came from and who sent it...provided it wasn't from a public computer.....but even then cameras/history can be checked.

Edit-  Yeah.....if that were my daughter being written about, I would report it IMMEDIATLEY.   If nothing else to file a report in case the harrassment continues.

You can always talk to the police, but what is your 11 yr old doing checking e-mails for an ad you posted??  Nothing you described sounds criminal yet (you don't say what sick thing they wrote).  And how would they know you have an 11 yr old they can say something about?  Would like to know what the e-mail said...

EDIT:  since now we know what was said, there's not a whole lot a police officer can do for you.  Yes, it's disgusting, and it's always possible that your local dept could have a law for one disgusting e-mail (mine doesn't).  Why would you post a picture of your daughter on the internet for any purpose where anyone can see it?  I would take the pic off, post a new one with just the pup and get a free hotmail account for people to post to.  Change your current e-mail too, so he can't e-mail again.
