  1. spray your matteress with disinfectant?

Dust mites don't like being steam cleaned. Steam clean those areas in your home where you have apoholstery and a lot of human traffic. The steam cleaning will kill some of the mites and does a more thorough job of picking up particles of dust.

    Dust Mite Treatments

If step 1 fails, then perhaps you should try an alternative found in the sidebar to the right. There are, of course, sprays and treatments that can be used to reduce the number of dust mites or at least neutralize the allergens present in dust mite f***s. There are many vendors of dust mite treatments on the internet. It doesn't take much to find them, and it saves you the hassle of a trip to the store.

After completing these two easy tasks, you should have less dust mites in your home. No more waking up with rashes or swollen sinuses.

  2. Nope YOu Have To change your mattress and FAST.

  3. use a fogger to get rid of them

  4. sleep on the couch

  5. get a kirby vacuum cleaner, the are real good at vacuuming out bed mites and bed dust.

  6. Try moth balls between the box spring and mattress. Also the vaccumm Kirby is supposed to be so powerful to suck them out of the mattress. The cost of one of those might be the same as a new mattress but it pays for itself if you keep buying mattresses

  7. On today tonight, there was a segment on how to remove dust mite/ bed mites, and they suggested a cleaning service, you might want to check their website.

  8. Here's what you CAN do:

Every 3 to 6 months, take your mattress outside for a dusting. Get someone to help you carry the mattress. Then, heavily slap it to shake off those bed mites. This will eliminate many of them.

  9. it's really important to change your sheets/pillow covers at least once a week.. you're right-- there are bound to be mites in everyone's beds but if you are especially paranoid about them i think changing sheets is the most practical thing to do since buying a new mattress every few months isnt so appealing... good luck! =)

  10. Bed mites feed off of dead skin cells left behind by us.

You can vacuume you mattress weekly, change sheets once a week, and protect the mattress with a rubber backed mattress protector.

There is really no way of getting rid of mites. They live every where we do.
