  1. If you can find someone that is good, you can have it sewn back, if not, your going to have to replace it.

  2. Ahhh. The inevitable dog and carpet situation. I am a professional at this. LOL. I have dealt with this on two occasions and here is the simplest solution.

    1) Find an inconspicious corner in a closet that has the same type of carpet.

    2) Measure a square around the damaged part and cut it out with a very sharp razor so that there are no frillies.

    3) Use that piece as a template to cut the same size out of the closet corner you have identified in step one.

    4) Being very careful, and ensuring the carpet grain runs the same way, glue the new piece into place. "Running the carpet the same direction is very important" Think about when you vacuum and the lines that are made when you move different directions. You are seeing the different sides of the carpet strand.

    5) Glues the damaged piece in the closet.

Walla! You are ready to rock and roll, get your deposit back and live stress free. Also, keep the dogs away from the carpet as much as possible.
