  1. So much valuable information especially for Shaneris and Magdelena and some not so valuable, from well wishers. From somebody who has been through the deepest of h**l of depression all I can and is, do not treat this lightly, get professional help now. The home remedies, will help, but not cure.

  2. I think we all go through that at one time or another, but if you feel that it's something you can't control as hard as you try to stay positive or do something that will make you feel better, perhaps you should talk to someone about it.  I don't know how old you are but if you're in school there are lots of people that can help. School counselors are there to help us deal with rocky times in our lives so make an effort to ask for help, I think that will be the first step for you to start feeling better.  Remember you're always in control.

Best of luck and hope you feel better soon ;)

  10. I have found that I when I feel bad forcing myself to exercise really helps.  Not at home, though.  I make myself get out of the house and exercise pretty hard.  I make myself do this everyday.  I know that you don't feel like it, but that is part of the problem.  It takes a lot of self discipline, but it is worth the effort.  If you have not already started going to counseling, you should find a psychologist as soon as possible.  That might help you too.

  11. DONT. life is full of happiness you need to look for from beneath your soul.

Everyone goes through rough times. Theres not a person who hasnt experienced the feeling of depression and hopelessness. But thats the amazing part of life. If there wasnt pain, there would be no meaning to happiness.

Keep yourself busy so you dont focus on the depressing parts of life. Surround yourself with positive people.

& remember if God puts you TO the depression, he'll put you THROUGH it.. <3

  12. all of the above

  13. play sports. I was depress too till I started playing volleyball at Santa Monica Beach every Sunday. I met a lot of people and feel better about myself. I also swim at the Rose bowl aquatic center. Plus, eat healthier food.

  14. There are many things you can do to help treat your depression.

Moderate exercise for at least 20 - 30 minutes, daily, and up to an hour. Brisk walking is good, and try to be mindful of the feeling your foot makes as it hits the ground: it is a relaxation technique. Also use daily, one of the relaxation methods in sections 2, 2.c, 2.i, or 11, and/or yoga, Tai Chi, and/or the EFT, in sections 2.q, 2.o, and section 53, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris whichever works best for you.

Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily: (certified free of mercury) it is best if consumed with an antioxidant, such as an orange, or grapefruit, or their FRESHLY SQUEEZED juice. If vitamin E is added, it should be certified as being 100% from natural sources, or it may be synthetic: avoid it. Also take a vitamin B complex which is certified as being 100% of natural origin; a deficiency in vitamin B9 (folic acid, or folate) is known to cause depression. Around 30% - 40% of depressed people have low vitamin B12 levels. Depressed females using the contraceptive pill may benefit from vitamin B6 supplements.

Occupational therapy (keeping busy allows little time for unproductive introspection, and keeps mental activity out of less desirable areas of the brain). As options, if desired, either a known, effective herbal remedy, such as St. John's wort, (the strength varies, but the supplier should be using a standardised hypericin content, so follow the directions) or supplements, such as SAMe, or Inositol (from vitamin and health food stores, some supermarkets, or mail order: view section 55 at ezy-build ).

Initially, at least, some form of counselling, preferably either Cognitive Behavio(u)ral Therapy, or Rational Emotive Behavio(u)ral Therapy. Co-counselling is shown in the first 3 pages of section 2, or online therapy, or even talking with someone you feel comfortable with, and a much more detailed post is on page R.

  15. Exercise is your friend. If you want to get into the science of it, physical exercise releases endorphins which are neurotransmitters that give a euphoric feeling to your entire body. I'll give you a better visualization though, which works for me every time. Imagine all of your anger, all of your sadness, and all of your other negative emotions draining into the weights. Or draining into the ground after each step you take on that treadmill. Your negative energy leaves the body as you perspire, leaving the only other strong emotion at the time, joy!

  16. Talk to a close friend.  Talk to your parents.  Talk to a psychologist.

The above are the best options.
