What can i do for my art project ?

the overall theme for this project is World Art.

I'm allowed to do anything for my final piece, but i dont really know what i should do, and need some inspiration!

There are some themes i can choose from, e.g:

magic

human forms in art/cotsume

animal forms in art

theatre, dance and music

treatment of the dead

religion in art (e.g african, chinese, aztec, hinduism etc)

done some research on most of these themes but still quite un-sure.

do you have any idea or know any sites/books that will give me more inspiration?

i get something like 6 weeks to plan it then bout same time to do it, but time is not a big issue.

This is for art at GCSE level (UK).

i just need ideas about what i can make, because you can make anything from anything, such as a african mask (half human/animal ?), magical things from matchsticks, you get the idea, ANYthing really (inc. painting etc).

would be very grateful for all help!

I'm quite fond of the theme of "masks in the theater." They've been using them since Greek times -- in fact, the masks of comedy and drama are almost a symbol of Western Theater. Japan uses various masks in Noh drama. The Chinese use masks, too.

You can make masks out of paper mache, and do a little summary for each one.
