You could do something crazy like work out home much money you have got to spend and then give it to a friend or relative to buy you a mystery flight.

Now, yes I know that they stopped mystery flights some time ago; but you can make your own.

Even if you do not want to ask a friend; just rock up to the travel agents and say that you have this amount to spend on a return flight and you want;

(a) to leave and return on your birthday

(b) enough time where ever you go to look around

(c) must be within the budget you have stated.

(d) you do not want to know where you are going until you arrive at the airport.

Then, get the travel agent to put all the details and tickets in an envelope - all you need to know is

(a) what time you have to be at the airport to check in

DO NOT OPEN THE ENVELOPE WITH THE OTHER DETAILS UNTIL YOU GET INTO THE CHECK-IN QUEUE.

All kinds of places they could send you - either up or down the coast - or even inland - suspect about sixty sites that I can think of.
