What can i do if i have lost the railway tickets to my destination ??

the fact is that my frend had the tickets wid him and i was to board the train from his town. but meanwhile in these holidays he got too ill that he is going to delhi for treatment. now that the tickets are wid him so i cant recieve them and my journey will be stopped. his family has already left for delhi. what can i do ?? please help.... its a question of career

  1. Either buy new ticket or stay home.


  2. get it fax ed to you... explain to railway people..if nothing works then there is only one way BRIBE..it is sure to work

  3. find the PNR number and for a part payment of the origional ticket charges, get duplicate tickets issued at any computerised reservation office

  4. hey thats really sad!! just ask ur friend 2 courier them 2 u if the tickets r very costly otherwise just buy new ones!!!!!!

  6. If your ticket is in confirmed or RAC status, you can get a duplicate ticket from the railway reservation centre.  Just get the PNR number of the ticket from your friend and head to the reservation office. You may have to pay a nominal amount for the replacement ticket.

  10. ISSUE OF DUPLICATE TICKET IN LIEU OF LOST/TORN/MUTILATED TICKETS

    Duplicate ticket can be issued  only in case of   lost/torn/mutilated confirmed/RAC tickets.

    The duplicate ticket can be issued against lost/torn/mutilated ticket if it is reported to the railway and the passenger can travel on the accommodation reserved by him, by making payment and getting a duplicate ticket as per following table :-

    a) Before the chart preparation

    CONDITIONS DISTANCE FARE TO BE PAID

    Lost/Torn/Mutilated confirmed/RAC tickets for trains other than RAJDHANI/SHATABDI Up-to 500 KM 25% of the total fare

    More than 500 KM 10% of the total fare subject to min. of 25% of the fare for 500 KM

    For RAJDHANI / SHATABDI point to point fixed fare trains All distances 25% of the total fare

    b) After the chart preparation

    CONDITIONS DISTANCE FARE TO BE PAID

    Confirmed lost tickets All distances

    50% of the total fare



    Confirmed torn/mutilated tickets Up-to 500 KM

    25% of the total fare



    More than 500 KM

    10% of the total fare subject to min. of 25% of the fare for 500 KM



    RAC/Torn/mutilated tickets All distances 25% of the total fare

    Note:

    No duplicate ticket against lost RAC ticket is permitted after the chart preparation.

    No duplicate ticket is issued against Wait List lost/torn/mutilated tickets.

  11. contact the railways autority and ask them to issu a duplicate ticket.
