  1. I lived and worked in Germany.  It was 25 years ago.  I hitched to Germany, got a job in a restaurant with accommodation.  I was then able to get a residence permit.  There's a lot of bureacracy and it takes about 3 days of going to different places to fill in all the forms.

  2. ILR in the UK and his permanant residency has nothing to do with anything.

You have to apply on your own or get married.

  3. Your bf may be a permanent resident, but he has no way of bringing you to Germany temporarily, and neither of you have a chance of getting German citizenship.  Your ILR status does not allow you to live or work elsewhere in the EU.  Your only possibility would be to obtain a type of job that qualifies for a visa with an employer willing and able to obtain an employment visa for you.  What are education and experience credentials?  College degree or better?  Highly skilled or possessing rare abilities in great demand?

  4. You need to apply for a work visa in Germany.  Having ILR in the UK does not allow you to live in Germany.
