My employer is accusing me of stealing when i did not. They have security cameras and know what happened, yet they want me to prove that I am innocent. Shouldn't they have the burden of proof when they are the ones doing the accusing?

  1. get a lawyer and they you will walk away with a lot of cash

if this is not true you can be an instant millionaire.

  2. Demand a lie detector test.  Most employers routinely do these if there is theft.  They test all employees.  You really could get a lawyer and sue them for defamation of character or something and get a little $$$ out of them for doing this to you.  Let your fingers do the walking thru the yellow pages, and find one that works in the employment sector and have one of those free 30 minute consultations.

  3. I would find another job.  you need to prove that you did not steal then find another place to work.  It sound like they want to get rid of you and they will keep finding things wrong with your work and such until they can find something that sticks,  They might even set you up.  Leave before this job becomes a black spot on your record.  I bet there is lots of gossip, backstabbing, little cliques & probably some romances going on around there.  They sound very unprofessional
