What can i do if my employer will not adjust witholdings from my w-4?

it is the whole group of people who started work almost 1 month ago, the w-4's we filled out were not entered to our records, everyone is paying taxes on 0 exemptions, something is not right about that

  1. An employer cannot dictate how many exceptions you claim.  Ask your Payroll department to update your records in accordance with your W-4.  If it is not done in a timely fashion contact the IRS.  That will solve the problem.


  2. Employer must adjust withholding to match the W-4 you have submitted. Employer has no choice in the mater.  If this is not adjusted, you can contact IRS, and request assistance.  

    You can also contact Dept. of Labor.  If the tax withholding is not correct, then there is the possibility that other taxes are not correct.

  3. Employer must deduct taxes based on W4. Talk to them.
