  1. Watch a dozen episodes of Mork and Mindy.

  2. you could go to lunch/tea or go site seeing near the airport and go and get a taste of paris in the streets, its AMAZING!

  3. There is really nothing around the airport.  And if you leave you will have to go through customs again.   You'd have to be there at least 2 hours in advance.  Plus you have to factor in travel time to and from the airport.  So you could be looking at 4 plus hours of waiting in lines and transit time for maybe 30 minutes to an hour of fun in Paris.  All you'd have time for is a quick walk around somewhere or a coffee in a cafe.

I'd suggest you visit Paris when you can do it justice and not risk missing your flight.

  4. i wouldn't risk it, the airport is huge and far from the city. there is nothing around it but fields. if you can't stand being stuck in the airport for hours, you can go to the village of roissy which is a 10-20 minute bus ride although it would be safer to reserve a taxi. a taxi would only take 10 minutes. check their site: http://www.office-tourisme-roissy.com/ho... you would get a little taste of rural france if not paris.

  5. There is nothing around the airport.

You can go to paris by RER (around 40 mn), stop at Gare du Nord and take a walk at Montmartre (1hr 30mn), then metro to the Eiffel Tower, walk along the Seine to St Michel and Notre dame (1hr30mn) and take the RER back to the airport (40mn).

    Total: 4hrs 20mn

  6. Walk along the Seine River and you will see almost all the major sites Paris has to offer

  7. If you are arriving on an international flight and must clear customs and passport control to exit the airport it will be difficult as this alone can take an hour or two.

The airport is in an outlying area and it takes a 38 minute train  ride to get to the city center. Add in time to find the station (which is in the airport terminal), buy your ticket, and wait for the train and you will very likely spend an hour getting into the city.

Getting back to the airport may take a bit less time (since you'll return by the same route) but then there is the requirement to arrive back with enough time to go thru security.

In the absolute best case scenario you would have not much more than an hour in Paris itself.

If you wish to risk the danger of missing your plane then I suggest you take the train (called the RER) to the St. Michel - Notre Dame stop. When you exit the station you will be in the Latin Quarter and the Cathedral should be visible to you. After a quick walk thru Notre Dame you might have a brief time to sit at any one of the many cafes in the immediate vicintiy and have a coffee or glass of wine while enjoying the beautiful vista.
