  1. Steffi. Are you calling me a fossil??/ Lol.

There's LOADS of fun to be had in Cornwall (and Devon) If it's fun you're after, then I suggest you stay in Central Cornwall. (St Austell area) then you can visit the great little town of Fowey, (Classy and cosmopolitan) Newquay for nightlife (and plenty chav's, and noisy partying) You could visit my village (Lerryn ) for "Encounter Cornwall " canoeing, walking, and cycleing around the countrside.

A lot depends on YOUR  idea of fun. If it's " kissme quick" hats, and funfairs, maybe you should have chosen Blackpool as a holiday destination, we're a bit more "classy" down here, and our idea of "fun" is much quieter, and laid back.

  2. you could go swimming lol may be a bit cold like lol

  3. Depends what time of person you are and who your going with:

Families: Beaches (except Newquay - not suitable for kids - broken glass and needles, Crealy Adventure Park, Newquay Zoo and Flambards.

Couples or on your own: Beaches, Surfing, Swimming, Walking, Clubbing, Fishing, pubs and the Eden Project.

Shopping - suitable for everyone lol!!

  4. Go find fossils on the beach:)

  5. Fossils? In Cornwall? I guess that's the residents!

It depends what you call fun. Are you sporty? If so, there is surfing, boating, watersports, walking around the coast. Inland you will have to look for local adverts, either in local newspapers, or posters around the area you are in. Bodmin Moor and nearby Dartmoor (Devon) both offer hiking and lots more. Try cycling the Camel trail from Padstow/Wadebridge or vice versa. Also try South West Lakes Trust, look at website to see what lakes are near, and what is on offer. You have a good choice of beaches. Look out for horse riding adverts.

If you like old things, you may enjoy Dingles Steam and Fairground Museum near Lifton, just the other side of the Tamar in Devon. There are also various Steam Railways, and Model Museums around Cornwall.

All tourists should see St Michael's Mount, Heligan Gardens and the Eden Project, Tintagel and other castles.

Edit: Maid in Cornwall, if you're one, so is my husband!
