What can i do...........?

Question

What can I do to get my rat to want to be my best friend and depend on me for almost everything?

I want her to come to me when I open the cage door and cuddle on my chest :]

Debbie has a great and imformational article on trust training rats. You should look into it. Its helped me out more times than I  can count.

aww.. my rat does tht. u have to be very social, so they know tht they trust u. hold em every day. give her treats and let it know tht. when it gains ur trust it will l**k u, like it would do with other rats

I used to have up over 40 pet rats.I found that worked for me is that the more you talk to them so they get to know your voice and the more you hold them and play with them.Take your rat out in the yard and let it play with you.get down on the ground and play around with your rat.Take your rat for a car ride and let it set on you dash so it can look out the window.Just drive careful so your rat don't fall down.Take it to your friends house.Always feed your rat good.I would feed my rats the rat foods you can get in pets stores and I would also for fun feed them house food.What ever I made for a meal for myself I would make a dish for them too.Rats are so much fun to have.Good luck to you!
