Hi i just moved into a converted downstairs studio and did all of the legal paper work with the property manager. I was wondering if there was any way to find out who the landlords are with out having to pay a fee online?

  1. MaryN is correct.....but i will throw in.....You may upset your property manager if you call the owner directly....property managers are partially paid to keep people from contacting them directly.....you may put yourself in a precarious position if you are not careful

  2. Sure. The County Clerk's office should have the records on file for who owns all the property in the county. There may be a fee to copy, but in most places, looking in person is free.

  3. You want to know who pays the property tax? OK, that's a phone call to your county assessor's office.

Remember, that property manager is the legal representative for your landlord. If you have complaints about the place, the manager is required to speak to his boss if he cannot decide himself.

If you have complaints about the manager, then drop a dime and make that call. You just moved in, so I cannot imagine you are at odds with the manager so soon...
