  1. What you can do at the best is help reducing burning of fossil fuels, driving less, turn off the lights when you leave a room, eat less beef, don't waste food like veggies and fruits. Also, buy food from a local source like a Farmer's Market. Don't litter and recycle things in nature like paper and aluminum. Learn to live with less "stuff" in your life. Every time you buy something you send a signal to the manufacturer to make more.

Note: Everybody should work together to stop global warming. It can't all just be 1 person.

  2. If you saw Al Gore’s movie “An Inconvenient Truth”, no wonder you are scared.  An American judge ordered that this film not be shown without a prelude showing 9 major points of scientific error.

Al Gore has millions tied up in “green” technology.  He stands to make billions out of the move away from fossil fuels.  He wants you all to be scared.

However, many scientists are against the notion that we are causing global warming – and I mean many.  And if you ignore Al Gore and simply take the official line from the IPCC, they are talking about very little variation in temperature, and in truth, global warming need not be a bad thing:

Of course we want to eventually replace fossil fuels, and reduce emissions, but at present they run our economies and feed the world (oil drives industry and agriculture).  To cut back quickly without replacement energies, will make us all losers.

Yes, make the world clean, but don’t panic about global warming.

The following is from real scientific reports from the field (not fancy computer models, as Gore’s scientists use)

My information has been meticulously collected over the last year from various scientists and institutions with whom I have maintained a professional communication.  I can show that:

      Antarctic sea ice has not significantly changed over recorded time

      Recent studies show that the Maldives Islands are not disappearing under a rising ocean

      Polar Bears are not threatened in the Arctic

      The Global Mean temperature stabilised after 1998, and dropped significantly in 2007, in spite of vast increases in greenhouse emissions (especially from the emerging super-economy China),

      Atlantic hurricanes have not increased in intensity over recorded time (nor have SE Asian cyclones, in spite of the cry that the tragedy in Myanmar is the result of man-made global warming).

      Water vapour is by far the greatest greenhouse gas, yet its effect is largely left out of the models on which the IPCC reports are produced.  This is because the variability of cloud cover and its balance between warming agent (greenhouse effect) and cooling agent (reflectivity) is poorly understood, making it impossible to apply parameters to the models.

So, just keep tidy and don’t waste energy.  Other than that, relax.
