What can i do to help the poor people in Burma?

Apart from giving money, what else can i do?

well theres nothing you can do, except go help out. you cant reduce the deaths  or anything, just go help out and volunteer and stuff.

Send them clothes, food, medicine, bandages...

That's all they need is money. This way they can build nicer houses than what they had before.

I know I sound sinical, but when we already send money to them on a yearly basis, some of the US factories and companies have moved there, and we even have military bases there, I don't think they really need anything but positive energy and prayer for the people that have died or are lost and the children/families that will have to suffer for a time during the disaster.

I didn't see the "international" community rally to help the Katrina victims like they did in Indonesia when they had the Tsunami, so call me sinical and loyal to my own country. I hate to feel that way but that is how I feel.

One can donate unwanted or clothes that no longer fit

a person, they can be

for kids adults.

It might take money for the

people who rebuild houses destroyed.

also

furniture to refurnish the house.

Help the poor people in the USA first.

There are scads of poor people throughout the USA going to bed hungry or with just a cup of coffee for the day.  Go out to some small towns in various states where hungry single parents can't afford to feed their kids because they get overlooked by meal programs or that meal programs don't exist in small rural hamlets or poorer states.

try to change their Country's politics. Go fight for Democracy. They suffer because they are not a Democratic country.

And cease not thy prayer for them.
