  1. Find a good sparring partner and work some drills on slipping and fainting. A year is a short time to expect yourself to become proficient, relax and work your drills.

  2. Shadow boxing alot of people tell me.

  3. train more.

  4. Spar, spar and do some more sparring

when i started doing boxing (took 2 months before moving onto MMA) i couldn't throw anything, my hands fell after everything

the other day i was sparring in my MMA gym, and just picking people apart, hit here, block there

i used to basically be a punching bag, and just learned to be an excellent blocker cause i got tired of getting hit

  5. There are big differences between trainers and clubs in any sport.

If you feel you cannot block these punches well despite dedicated training its possible you are not being taught right, and could try another coach.

Also for imrpoving boxing skill do boxing :)

They tend to be lightyears ahead with the hands.
