1. thin the deck by focusing on lvl, dragon or spellcaster(or other focus that u might have) they are not compatble enough together

2. if u running lvls, u need 3 of lowest, 2 of 2nd lowest and 1 or 2 of the highest(or 2nd highest in case of armed dragon) with multiple copy of lvl up and lvl mod.

3. run masked dragon if u decided on lvl monsters, goes very well with armed lvl3 and fairly well with horus 4

4. u r running tradtional as it is(mag faith, breaker etc) might as well use change of heart etc instead of cards such as soul exchange

furthur modification depend on what deck type you finally chose on.  most deck suggested to be 40-45 cards(so 49 don't work well, especially u need more lvl monster to make them work), only exception being(as I can think of) normal masser, gladiator, venom, mill(twin sided), gadget.  and at that, most of those should be kept under 50(gladiator and normal is doable for up to 60, based on specific deck build)
