What can i do to make a restaurant birthday dinner party fun?

This would be my first time hosting a dinner party and i am thinking of ways to make everyone have a h**l of a time for the couple of hours they would spend. Playing games is an idea but i can't think of any games that you could play dinner (and in a restaurant for that matter). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

There is a game called Table topics, you can even make up your own, on some index cards, or any for that matter, write up a bunch of questions and each guests picks from the deck and answers the question they get, you go around the table and each guest has to answer the question they get, or you can have each guest answer every question if you choose.  The game is just a plastic box with cards in it, but you can make it yourself.  Check amazon.com or just do a search for table topics game, they have so many different ones for teens, family, dinner parties, etc.  It's a great way for everyone to find out things they didn't know and even have some fun,

You can also pick a word or phrase for the night that is taboo/off limits, and when a person says that word, they are given a penny or chip, the person that has the least pennies/chips at the end of the night wins a prize.  

What about taking just the cards of a trivial pursuit game with you and playing that?  Leave the board home and bring the questions.  There are SO many different versions now, there is the 80s, 90s, s*x and City version, you can go to Toys R' Us and they have a whole section, you can get one or two, especially when they're doing they're buy one get one half off sale and just bring the card part of the game with you.  

You can also go to Toys R' Us and check out what card games they have that people can play at a table, not actual cards, but games that are interactive that you can play at a dinner table, there are some of these in the board game section of the store.

You can also play a kind of bingo, make bingo cards of things you would expect to see in a restuarant, but make it that it's something you have to see your waiter/waitress carrying, but they can't ask them for it!  The first person to get bingo wins!  They have to see your wait staff carrying it though as well as the rest of the table and they can't order it on purpose of filling their card.   You can do things like:

Highchair

Martini glass

Beer Mug

Lobster

Steak

Things like that, unless someone really wants a steak, that's the exception to the rule.

Will you have the banquet room?  OK, this would even work in the dining room (assuming you have the manager's OK).  Pass around index cards and each person draws something then passes it to the right, the person on the right adds to it, and so on.  Do the same thing with more index cards, only the first person has to write one line, the next person has to write another, and so on.  Shuffle them, match one final card picture to a writing one, and people can vote on the funniest combo.

There are Murder Mystery troupes that will come to your party, and have a murder mystery during your dinner.....  SO MUCH FUN!

order one of everything from the menu, then make each and every guest try each and every item.

One of the things you can certainly do is forget about ordinary restaurants and book your party bash at a Greek Taverna - believe me the Greeks know all about how to have a good time.  They don't mind if you wanna dance, there's usually a dance square thing anyway.

You can have a birthday cake brought in with sparklers and so on.

The main thing is lots of loud Greek music to get folk up and dancing and drinking a lots.
