  1. Part time job at Walmart, Home depot or a grocery store (all must be open 24 hrs) or you could try bartending, I hear there is good money in it.  Or you could make jewlery.  Also go on line and look for jobs that require you to work from home on your computer.

  2. If you are looking for money outside of a job her are a few ideas:

I have a friend who is a school teacher and she makes extra cash during the summer via ebay and consignment shops. She buys good quality clothing, collectibles, toys, furniture etc. at garage sales and thrift shops and then sells them on-line on ebay or at consignment stores.

Another idea is to help other women/moms with after school childcare in your community. Advertise or even talk to women who have children in a school in your area and tell them that you are available for childcare after school until they get off work.

House sitting might be an option. One of my aunts did this during her divorce while looking for a house for her and her children. She didn't make a heck of a lot but she ended up staying at some really nice places for free whilst earning some cash for taking care of the place.

If you and your children are animal allergy free and have a decent and fenced in yard then you could take on pet sitting. There are a lot of doting pet owners that would prefer that their pet be in a home setting rather than a boarder or kennel.

If you are looking for a job and have the child care available:

If you have childcare and a driver's licence then you may be able to get in as a postal worker. The hours are pretty decent and you also get the excercise to boot.

Check with schools too, schools are often looking for crossing guards, lunchroom supervisors, and even extra help in classrooms. If you are only looking for a little extra income then you cannot beat the hours!

FYI: Unless you are already with a reputable company that lets you telecommute I wouldn't buy into any of the work-at-home jobs posted online or in your paper. They are scams and major wastes of time.

  4. You can go to garage sales and buy cheap, but in demand clothing like Gymboree, Gap, etc and resell them for much more on e-bay.  Remember you children however, need your time too.  That's the most important job you have right now.  Good luck!
