how can i fry my cube stake to be soft, how can i get the meat tender?

  1. The best way to tenderize met is to marinate it.

    Marinating means to soak it in oil and acid for a couple of hours or overnight.

    The oil can be vegetabel, cannolla or olive. Just rub it on the outside of the meat.

    For the acid, you can use lemon juice or vingar( cider, or white would be good) diluted in water and seasonings.

You can beat the heck out of it with a mallet- they have meat mallets in most grocery stores and meat markets.  You put the cubed steak in between pieces of wax paper and lightly whack at it with your mallet. then bread add fry it. they also have meat rollers. they look like pizza cutters with spikes. that pierces the meat and tenderizes it as well.

  3. do not marinade and do not beat! It is a tough meat that you have to cook real slow ( up to 2-3 hours) make a brown gravey  and add it on top

  4. Put it into a zip-lock baggie with some marinade, and leave it overnight in the refrigerator. You can buy good marinades (Lawry's has many good flavors); or use a combination of a little olive oil with vinegar, citrus juice or liquor (i.e. brandy or beer).  These will break down the fibers and tenderize the meat.  Also add some crushed or minced garlic and fresh herbs.....

  5. cube steak , cook it slow and on low, add a little water as it cooks too, and cooking them in a frying pan with lots of onion ( a natural meat tenderizer ) will make them less tough, dont marinate
