  1. The strongest and hardest punch is the closed-fist punch. You need to not only use your hand, but also the whole arm goes when you do that punch. That makes the punch stronger.

    A caveat......

    In martial arts.....

Use the closed-fist punch with caution. Closed-fist punches in martial arts tournaments to the face is usually illegal....even in full-contact....but closed-fist punches are effective in  the chest area.

    In other matters...

The closed fist punch is the strongest punch in regular boxing.

If doing the uppercut punch, use a good windup and then fully commit to the uppercut....this will give the uppercut some "knockout" capabilities.

  2. WTF is this karate douche bag talking about of course the close fist punch is strongest karate kid, and also his specifically asking about closed hand punching. I guess karate kid didn't notice his talking about boxing. The best way to get the strongest punch is to first of all work out your legs do squats all the punching power starts from you feet then you calves then thighs up to you *** trough the back out the arm. This is called kinetic linkage (kinetic energy) basically you do what my man Rampage said put your *** into it. If you watch the video of Ricky Hatton training you see his always doing squats with really heavy weights also you see Pavlik going up football stadium stairs up and down. It all starts from the bottom. Don't do any heavy weights for the upper body but go heavy on the thighs and heavy on squats. Perfect example is Kelly Pavlik, a skinny guy that doesn't look like much but he can hit like a train, its all in his footwork and straight follow trough punching.

  3. sounds like u guys have no idea, punching power believe it or not does not come from ur arm but from ur back foot, i recommend getting ur stance right and try to avoid throwing crappy arm punches, get the technique right and once u connect with someones chin it's most prob lights out, u need to take up boxing lesson's first mate.

  4. you should balance the exercise in your triceps and biceps... you should also practice your accuracy because even though you punch hard but as long as you won't hit the target accurately, it's no use.

Punching with weights wouldn't really increase punching power, as the muscles worked would primarily be those to keep the weight from falling to the ground. So I'd have to say that punching with weights in your hands will help you to keep your hands up when you're really fatigued.
