  1. Hey.

First, a good graphics card is useless unless the rest of your system is fast and running smoothly. Since you can play Crysis on high settings, this does not sound like a problem for you, but its good to keep this in mind.

Second, the latest Catalyst drivers are not always the best. They are often released a bit buggy, so it might pay to stay at 8.5 for a while.

As for speeding up your fan speed, its unlikely to be overly helpful but may boost your performance if your case cooling is not the best.

    Hope this helped!

  2. 1. get latest catalyst drivers from ati

    2. start the catalyst control centre

    3. go to ATI OVERDRIVE on left-hand menu

    4. click the 'enable overdrive' button

    - run the 'auto tune' utiility (it takes a long time so go make a coffee)

    - you may find the card crashes after its been overclocked. if thats the case, go back to catalyst and trim off some of the gpu clock, then go back to the game. If it crashes the card again, go back and trim the memory clock. Repeat this process until it runs without crashing.

    5. how far you can overclock depends on yr card. I have a gigabyte 4850 and it runs at 660/1100

    6. You will get a lot more performance out of the card by pverclocking it, but even at max overclock, it wont run crysis on high without some degree of stagger. if you want to run it clean and smooth on high you will need better video cards.
