What can i do to save my puppy?

the vet said he is dying and that he would need a drip but he cant even find his vein his gum is white as chalk and he wont eat . he cant stand up for long. he is so weak his tail even has fungus . what can we buy to help him cause the vet has given up. some thing we can buy to save him

spend time with him, if he is so weak he can't stand for long he will only live for a few days. if you need to help him stand and he just sits again, or  lies down right away, i think he will die within 12 hours. maybe sooner...  sorry.

if you would rather put him down you will need to do it soon i think.

Take him to a new vet.

Your vet doesn't sound very proffesional not even being able to find a puppies vein and giving up while the puppy may still have a chance.

Go to a new vet and see what they say.

Can't find a vein.   What kind of animal doctor is that?  Go to another emergency vet ASAP!!! There are many 24 hour ones out there.

I am so sorry but you won't be able to find a miracle cure at your local pet shop... If your vet can't figure out anything else to do I don't know what else can be done. It sounds like he's suffering, as hard as it is I'd put him to sleep now.

Sweetheart, sometimes its better to be selfless and let them go - by the sounds of it, this little guy is terminally ill, you should sit down and talk with your vet and discuss the possibility of putting the lil fella to sleep - if there is nothing the vet can do, then it would be cruel to have the pup suffer.

Kerry,  I am so sorry to hear about your puppy. Sometimes they just get sick and there is nothing anyone can do but pray. We have to trust the professionals in our lives that they are doing the best job they can do. If you don't think they are doing everything they can do then go to another vet and get a second opinion.  ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS:  our pets cannot take care of themselves, they trust and rely on us to take very good care of them AND TO NEVER LET THEM SUFFER.  If your puppy is sick and in pain and nothing can be done to make the puppy better then you must make the decision to end the puppys suffering.  That means to decide to put the puppy to sleep. It is a very hard decision to make and it makes us very sad but it is selfish to keep a pet alive just so we can feel better.  Talk to your vet some more and see what the vet says, would the vet put your puppy to sleep if it was the vets decision?  If the vet says yes, then you should trust that decision.  I have had to put my first dog to sleep, it was a hard decision but I could not let my dog suffer and be sick anymore. I loved him too much. He was not eating and I knew that he was hurting. I am sorry that your puppy is sick but we have to accept that sometimes there is nothing that can be done and we have to let them go. Talk to others about this and see what they say. Good luck.

About the only thing you can do is go to another vet for a second opinion.

What did the vet say is the reason he is dying? It does sound like he is pretty far gone. If there is no hope and the pup is going to die you might want to think of putting it down to spare it from dying in pain and misery.

umm what has the dog got???? how can anyone help when you havent explained whats happened. anyways id rush that dog to another vet in a bigger practice. a vet hospital somewhere close and see what someone else has to say. good luck and sorry i couldnt help ya more
