last year, i took really challenging classes and had at least 10 hour of studying/homework every night.

this year, my schedule will be about 5 times as challenging, plus i will be volunteering at a hospital, be in tennis team, and orchestra. this means that i wont have any free time to sleep in the day, and will probably stay up most of the night. how can i stay up later? i dont want to take a cold shower, since it will take up at least 10 minutes thx

  1. you are going to need lots of caffeine and lots of sugar and maybe someone to stay awake with you to make sure you dont sleep

  2. Drop a class or two and replace them with a speed reading course.

  3. you may want to reduce the amount of challenging classes/ extra curricular activities because it sounds like you're a little over extended. if you really want to stay up try energy drinks or coffee

  4. Take the truckers choice Stay- Awake pills.

  5. Coffee and Redbull.

And try to be cool. If you are warm it is easier to nod off. And don't eat very much right before studying, as a heavy meal can also make you drowsy.

    Been there and Good luck!

  6. Nothing, stay up late with friends online, and there you go, a discussion is always good to keep you awake. I sleep only 3 hours when needed, and can endure that in two weeks. Usually do i go to bed at 1-2 o'clock, and then wake up at 5. My YM: representative38954 . In case you need.

  7. Drink lots of AMP and Monster energy drinks!!! and Dark black coffee. keep all the lights on in your room see u don't fall a sleep and play some of your fav music thats what i do!! it works!!

  8. Drink an energy drink or lots of coffee. Plus lay down while you study it will conserve energy. Not to many energy drinks or coffee since it isn't good for you. Once i had a 7hr project and and a half of any energy got me through it when i was sick and tired.

  9. I found in my case I was much more productive in the early morning than late at night. So instead of trying to stay awake until 3 am studying, I would go to sleep at 11pm or 12, and set my alarm to 4:30 am and study in the morning before classes.

  10. Be sure to never study or do homework on your bed. It will only make you think about sleeping while working (it will also make you think about working while trying to sleep). What works best for me is to remove myself from my computer (if I can), put on soft music, and sit at my desk with all the lights on. Try to be comfortable, but not too cozy. I also feel more awake when I'm a little cooler, so I would sit with the window open, in hopes of a nice breeze. Good luck with your heavy workload.
