What can i do to support peace?

im a 16 year old high school student. and i want to do SOMETHING to help the campaign for peace but i seems there aren't many oppertunities for someone my age. what can i do to make a difference?

Look for groups online that, in your opinion, promote peace. Read their online discussion groups and/or subscribe to their email newsletters. Link to them on your online social networking accounts (MySpace, FaceBook, etc.). See if they have local chapters and contact those chapters to see if they have an event coming up you could attend. Contact the nearest Universal Unitarian community, Quaker Community or United Church of Christ (which is NOT the same as just "church of Christ") and ask if they know of peace promotion events in the area.

go to better sources of information.

We are trained to be good consumerists. Use that education to impact the War Profiteers.

Any company that has a Gov contract with the DoD in any way, boycott them.

Amensty International is a fanatastic organisation that promotes rights and non violence around the world. You could find out where your nearest group is and volunteer on one of their campaigns or organise a fun event to raise money for them. Check out their website and see if you like it.
