What can i do to the water box to make it louder?

i have a kawasaki 2003 sx-r 800 stand up jet ski. i took out the stock water box and now its just to loud. i cant find a after market water box so i was wondering what mods i could make to the stock water box to make it louder

  1. The waterbox is more than a muffler, it also acts to keep water in the exhaust system from being able to get into the engine, including when you roll the jetski over. It also cools the exhaust, so it doesn't melt anything, like where it exits the hull. The other thing it does is to maintain the right amount of back pressure on the exhaust system. Anything you do that changes airflow though the engine will require adjustments at the carb, possibly even rejetting. Running a two stroke lean at wide open throttle even once is a fast way to seize pistons. Usually if an aftermarket part is not available, the reason is that the stock one works fine. If your trying to make more power, look at a performance exhaust pipe, some of the better flowing flame arresters, and ride plates. A lot of speed and hole shot can be gained from better ride plates and grates.Loud does not equal fast.
