  1. So sorry to hear about your accident. When I was around 15 I accidently spilled a hot, bowl of soup right onto my lap.My thigh had blistered and I was so scared that when it finally went away I'd have a huge ugly scar. You can ask your Dr. for silverdine cream but if you dont plan on going to the Dr.s anytime soon you can use Vitamin E.They sale the capsules filled with it at any drug store like Walgreens or CVS...bust open the capsule and lightly cover the area that was affected by the burn.Do this everyday..I promise you it will go away! It totally worked for me and it should work for you also! Good luck!

  2. If it is truly a second degree burn, it should not scar.

  3. ask your doctor for silverdine cream its awesome. i'm a chef and do get a burn sometimes thats what i use and no scars

  4. You really should be seen by a doctor to avoid infection. To promote healing and lessen any possibility of scaring, a cream called Silverdene is excellent, but there are others- you cannot get it over the counter though. You might need special non stick dressings, Telfa pads can be found in drugstores, any other dressing may stick to the skin, pulling off healing skin, please see a Dr.

    Good luck, feel better!

  5. Use aloe vera immediately from the plan because the one on the stores are not 100% aloe. You should always have aloe vera Gelly on your first aid kit you can check it out al forever-living.net  My mom is a cook and she burn her forearm really bad so you could see the pink tissue. She use the aloe Gelly she kept re-applying the gel every time it dry and she has no ugly scar. She loves aloe she always has it with her.

  6. You can't really do anything to completely avoid a scar- that is always a possibility after an injury or burn.  At the moment, the best thing you can do is leave the burn in relative peace, as long as the joints of the finger are not involved.  The blister should be left intact, do not break it or drain it.  The neosporin is not really helpful or harmful at this point, but it will help if the blister breaks and drains.  Hopefully it will stay intact and the body will reabsorb the liquid it contains.  Keep it covered until the blister is dried.  Once that happens, you can help healing by applying vitamin e oil to the spot once or twice a day.  Use a vitamin e capsule, poke the end, and squeeze out the oil inside onto the skin.  You can also try a scar reduction cream like Mederma once it is dry as well.  That's more expensive though, and honestly, the vitamin e will do just as well for skin healing.  The skin will likely remain red or brownish for a while, and will fade over the next few months.  If it is not too deeply burned, it should heal just fine and leave no visible scar.  But unfortunately, you did burn the skin- and there is no miracle prevention or guarentee you will not scar at all.  Sorry.
