What can i do when desktop has xp security center upon opening and won't let me go on line because of threats

press start > run

type msconfig

press ok

click on startup tab

read in the list, the names of the programs, and disable any program that you find suspicious, that will prevent it from starting with windows. There is no harm if you disable something useful, you can check it again. Now press apply, press close, restart the computer.

Now if you manage to disable the entry of this program from windows startup, it won't bother you.
