  1. Take the wall paper off.  Wall paper is tacky anyway.

Something that looks cool on walls is textured plaster i think it is.  Its really easy to do, you just get a mixture of it (usually sold in tubs) and just smear it and make texture

  2. I am not a professional on this, but I am pretty sure paint will not adhere to wall paper.  You have to either tear it off and re-paper it.  Or tear it off and paint.

  3. Jeez! Strip off the paper and put a favored type of paint over the previous paint! Make sure to take off ALL the wallpaper and fill in the cracks.

  4. How about a painting, Or a drawing. Print something from your PC and frame it, or don't, depending on how much wood/cash you have. Alternativly just paint the hole the same colour as your paper (if it is just solid colour paper.)

  5. Okay, if I were you I'd give it a paint, get a colour you like, and paint your whole room, (if not just skip that part) then just start taking pictures of you and friends and good times, and then buy a pinboard that matches your style, and stick all your pictures up like a collage.

It's not only a conversation starter, it looks great too, and reminds you of great time you've had with friends. =]

    Good luck

  6. posters..............try art.com

  7. fill the holes with filler and leave to dry sand it down so its smoothe depending on the size of the holes and it there are gaps between the paper run some caulk along it with your finger and when you paint straight on top it will look smooth and the holes will be unnoticable. Hope you try it as it's all i do and i've never failed.

  8. putty the holes...and then paint over it. choose a good color. but make sure the wallpaper is sound...and not crumbling underneath

  9. Hang pictures? Or a bunch of posters!

  10. ?????????????

  11. Buy a cheap container of plaster and sand paper at Walmart and fix them up!

  12. I dont think you can cover wallpaper without leaving the holes and ugly lines showing through. Maybe try spakling the holes and painting over but I dont think that will work. You will probley have to take a steamer and peel the paper off then paint over. Srry.. Hope this helps!

  13. Strip it all off and paint it, then you wont have this problem again.

  14. I faced a similar problem in my kitchen a few months ago ---  Dirty, ugly wallpaper that would not peel off.  Here's what I did and it worked wonderfully:

First, remove any wallpaper that is loose, peeling, or otherwise looks like it doesn't want to stay on the wall.  You can try putting spackling compound over the holes and seams, but I didn't bother with that, and it worked out OK.  Then, prime the wallpaper. I suggest buying a can of Gripper primer at Home Depot. Then, pick a high-quality latex paint and buy texture sand, available at Home Depot's paint department.  It comes in several sizes of grains --- you may have to experiment, but the coarser stuff worked better for me.  Mix the texturizing sand and the paint, according to directions, and apply it over the primer.  It's a bit tricky to get it applied fairly evenly, so go slow and work out your technique.  Rolling it didn't work well for me, but brushing it did.  Application is a bit messy.

    Good luck!

  15. Fill it with loads of posters of things you like. I plastered my wall in posters it was so cool!

But say if you like football buy the match magazine they have a poster on like every other page! lol

  16. Hang fabric on the walls over the paper.  Don't glue it.  You can use those command adhesive strips or a staple gun.  Whichever works for you.  The Command adhesive is like double sided tape, only it will come off the walls clean later.

  17. Have a picture wall! Posters, photos, mirrors, make it a real feature!

  18. If you decide to pain over the wallpaper, be sure to scrub the paper first to get rid of all residue and then fill the holes. Use an oil based primer first to cover any stains and then paint with water based paint. Semi-gloss for kitchen and bath or eggshell or matte for other rooms.

  19. There are a lot of quick fixes, but if you want it to last, go to your local hardware store and pick up a tub of whats called  patch n paint spackle, whatever wall you have its going to be hollow inside so I would pick up a pack of wall reinforced patches, this will allow you to put a small amount of spackle over each hole, also pick up whats called simply a wall scraper (all these items can be found in the paint department) the wall scraper is a specially made scraper made for wall paper now back to the spackling  once you've sanded (# 3 grit) smooth prime, then paint.

  20. plaster it or stikc card down....

  21. if there arent that many try covering it with posters or fotos. if there a lots many thoses rugs that are thin and lots of people use them to hang on walls for decoration.

  22. Pull it all off and paint.

  23. Glue a variety of large/small colorful buttons over the holes for a unique design.
