i recently got a stronger prescription from my eye doctor so therefore this box is completely useless (it has 5 unopened contacts)

It seems like a waste to throw away, so what else can i do with them?

  1. Katelyn,

unlike old eyeglasses which can be cleaned up and reused for

those who cannot afford them in the US and other countries, contacts that are no longer the correct prescription should be discarded.

  2. Legally you are supposed to dispose of them, its dangerous to hand them off so I would suggest what the earrings person said (something artistic) otherwise I would maybe try who you got them from, they may be able to use as temps, however I doubt you will be getting your money back on them :(

  3. Or....just hang on to them as spares for yourself if needed.

Ya never know when they may come in handy. Even the outdated prescription would be better than none. The expiry   date is probably 2 or 3 years away yet on them.

  4. My friend did something craazy with hers:

While they were still wet and soft, she put in those thingys that go on earings(the part that goes into you pierced ears)and she put it thru the lens, then she hung them until they were dry, and  she put clear nailpolish on the dry contacts, then in the center o fthe dry contact she put s drop of pink fabric paint ( and on the onther side it looks like a 3-D dot!

She wears them every now and then, but she says they are fragil.

    Wierd,huh?

  5. well you can give it to your friend who has same prescriptions like yours, or just keep it until it's expired, who knows you'll get better sight :)
