  1. Get yourself a card reader - a small device that connects to the computer using a USB cable. You take the memory card out of the camera and put it in the reaer and it should find transfer the pictures just like it used to. Advantage with card readers is that they dont run down your battery and they are really easy to get hold of and they are cheap aswell. Much cheaper/easier to get that than an official Kodak cable/cradle.

  2. It's either do like your first answer, or go online and download the codecs from Kodak.  Good luck.

  3. If you're activating a software package and the package states "cannot find device" , you must make the camera's software package "connect" to the computer first, and then to the camera.....

So, did you install your CAMERA's software package first? You know...the drivers and any other software for your camera??

You gotta do that first before any Photo-editing software can recognize your camera (device)....

And if it was doing it fine BEFORE, then you must have lost the connection due to damaged driver files....reinstall the drivers...and if that doesn't fix it, you may have to RE-INSTALL your photo editing software package....

And that's why I make my own Photo FILE space on my Desktop....So I can make sure all the Photo files I have, don't disappear if I remove my photo editing software and re-install it....
