  1. I was given a diet to follow by a weight loss Dr a few years ago and I put myself on it and the results were exactly as he told me. Here was the plan for breakfast (never skip breakfast) have a bowl of oatmeal and a piece of fresh fruit of your choosing (banana, apple, orange, grapes etc.) for lunch eat a salad with a small amount of low fat or no fat dressing along with a piece of fresh fruit again and tuna salad made with mustard instead of mayo. You can put the tuna salad on a slice of whole grain bread and make a half sandwich or eat the tuna with a fork. Between lunch and dinner have fresh fruit as a snack then enjoy a nice dinner (but not too late in the day). For dinner have either baked or broiled chicken breast (skinless) or fish along with your favorite veggie such as green beans, peas, corn, broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus etc. and a fresh salad with a piece of fresh fruit. As an after dinner snack later on in the evening allow yourself to have a bowl of cereal such as cheerios or other similar non sugar coated cereal and add skim milk only (you may have sliced strawberries or bananas in the cereal if you want). Another choice rather than cereal every day try yogurt or a small serving of non fat cottage cheese (with sliced fresh fruit if desired). Drink LOTS of water (reverse osmosis water is recommended due to purity). Follow this diet closely and even without stepping up your daily exercise routine (exercise is a must even a small amount each day, even long walks help) an adult will lose 10 pounds per month which is an ideal weight loss goal for the average adult. He said to count calories also to assure yourself that you limit your calorie intake to 1600 per day. It takes about 10 days before you start noticing the benefits and before you know it you should lose about a pound each day and perhaps gain 1/2 pound back for a net loss of 1/2 pound each day. Add more exercise and improve on the results.

  2. fruits, vegatables, salads, and fat free food

  3. tuna fish with no mayo. no bread. salads. fruits vegeys.

  4. fruits

  5. I do not eat dairy products, except butter is OK, and I do not eat wheat. You might think that this is unhealthy for your body because of the nutrition you are not getting. But you do not need milk after you are wained from  breast milk, also you can always get calcium in other foods, calcium is not just in milk. I lost three pounds the very first days. Instead of milk try soy milk or rice milk. I prefer soy milk though. Instead of bread I eat this special bread at Fredmyers  that is called Ezekiel bread 4:9. Also, watch the sugar. Try to be active too to lose weight.  Good luck!

P.S. butter is way better for your body because you can burn the fat off, margin just goes to your thighs and butt.

  6. fruit. veggies. salad. nuts. fat free sorbet. rice cakes with peanut butter. water and green tea. brown rice and low sodium soy sauce. luna bars.

  7. How about Bagle?

  8. uve got lods of suggestions on what to eat...just adding my bit...drink lots and lots of water...it flushes your system..really good for you.

  9. Everything in moderation.

  10. Are you planning on changing your diet to veg for your diet?

Are you currently a veg and planning on 'dieting'?

  11. Fruits and veggies, of course!

Beyond that, there are really many very tasty microwavable frozen meals UNDER 300 calories each. (Some are even under 200!) Brand names are Healthy Choice, Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, South Beach Diet, etc. (Be sure you check the calories on each, though, because some versions of the meals have more than others). You could eat 2 or 3 of these every day along with all the fruit and vegetables you wanted and still come in well under 1,000 calories for the day!

For breakfast you might consider oatmeal. Cheerios, Special K, or a high fiber cereal with skim milk and fresh fruit. That's only about 150 calories. No sugar though! If you need sweetener, use something like Splenda.

I'm vegetarian for 40 years--a guy--and I manage to eat all I want of foods like this and take in about 1,500 calories a day. (I sometimes "cheat" and get one of those frozen meals with more calories, or snack on high calorie nuts!)

  12. Anything you want provided your exercising too. Diet is meaningless without exercise. Don't even worry about portion size for anything except foods high in fat or calories (e.g., ice cream).

  20. Vegetable salads.

  21. First, don't go on a diet. That implies a short-term thing. You have to commit to changing your eating habits for the rest of your life. I went from 262 pounds to 130 pounds. It took a year and a half. But, I kept it off for 15 yrs. I never gave up anything I liked. The trick is to not deprive yourself. Do the weight-loss regimen for 10 days. On the 11th, eat anything you want for 24 hours (I call this a free day). Keep that up. Every time you lose 10 pounds, you get a free day. You may binge on your first couple of free days, but soon, you'll stop doing that. Because you know you'll get one every 10 days, you are less likely to give up the regimen. Also, you will hit plateaus, where you won't lose weight for a couple weeks. Don't get discouraged. It is just your body changing your metabolic rate. The trick is to fill up on low-calorie foods. Then just eat very small portions of higher calorie foods. The pleasure center in your brain only remembers the last 3 bites you ate. So, eat only 3 bites of dessert, very slowly. I hope this helps. Good luck.
