It is illegal to keep one unless you are a registered wildlife rescue. I know you don't want to hear that, so I don't expect points, but keep it discreet because ethics aside, it is a big bust.

Well , they eat things of the following

seeds (sunflower ect) , small sources of nuts , and other small insects ( flies,  mosquitos , ect)

I hope you are talking about feeding this bird in the wild..if you have it in your possession you can be fined or jailed as all wild native birds are protected by law (Migratory Bird Treaty Act).
