  2. A hot air balloon trip would be great if she likes that kind of thing. If you were thinking of something for both your parents to do maybe a weekend away, Hilton's and holiday inns do some really good spa break weekends, 2 nights b&b plus full use of all the facilities sometimes you can also get an evening meal thrown in. Prices start from about £115.00 that's for both, not each. It would leave money over for you to put towards a bottle of champagne etc. Hope this helps :)

  3. Arrange a dinner which has 50 things all around including eatables.

  4. I did a makeover and photographic session for my mum. She had her makeup and hair done and some fabulous photos for her to frame and keep. It cost £150 and she loved it.

  5. Maybe a painting?

  6. how about a collection of an oldest but goodies hit songs.

  7. Hi, nice of you to be looking for something great for your mum. I'm thinking that because it's a big deal milestone birthday you should get her something lasting that will remind her of you & the lovely time everyone had together on her birthday.

So how about getting the family (extended family if you're close & you think your mum would like it) together for a picnic lunch (or restaurant, all bring a dish to one of your homes - it doesn't matter just so long as she doesn't have to do all the work for it).

The present part is to arrange for a photographer to come before it - or after if you think you all can stay clean, pretty and sober. Have some beautiful photos of the family as a group. Depending on the cost, you could also get some individual pics. If you or your sibs have your own family pics of these groups, or pics of your mum & her bros & sisters or best buddies. Give a bit of thought to who you invite because you don't want to be stuck with a photo of some random gf (should be forgotten) in your treasured family shots.

With digital photography you can have oodles taken without massive cost. There's sure to be some nice ones with everyone's eyes open & looking in the right direction.

The photographer usually gives you a disc with all the shots so you can choose a few of the best ones. She can pick her faves and you can get some printed. If they're nice everyone else is likely to want some too so you should be able to negotiate a good deal with the photographer. If there's money over you could buy a nice frame.

Huge rave - I'm just sure that most mums cherish memories & good times together more than just about any thing else. Whatever you choose for her, she's sure to love it cos you're putting a lot of love & creativity into finding to something special.
