  1. There is nothing. Ask your dr. if you want reassurance.

  2. How often are you feeding? What are you feeding? If he is on formula, he may be reacting to it. Talk to your doctor about trying a different one. If you are nursing, you may need to watch what you are eating and avoid spicy or hard to digest foods. When he cries, try feeding him; if this doesn't help, hold him next to you, skin to skin.  Sing softly and just stroke his back or neck.  Two months old is still in the "settling in" phase.  Just try to relax and enjoy holding him close.

  3. Lots of love and cuddles.

Sometimes babies just need to be comforted. Try carrying the baby in a snug sling for a while.  Being close and hearing your heartbeat may help calm the child.

Gas drops are not recommended for 2 month old infants.

If you're nursing, nurse more often:  the baby may be hungrier than you're thinking.

Back rubs with warmed lotion or oil worked wonders on my son when he was fussy as an infant.  Put the baby on your chest and stoke the bare skin in long smooth stokes with the oil/lotion.

Is the baby overstimulated or not stimulated enough?  My son got bored easily--even as early as a few weeks.  I gave him soft colorful things to play with and chimes to make soft noises with.  I also played soft music.

    Good luck.

  4. It may help you to swaddle your baby, give him (or her) a pacifier, maybe a vibrating seat or electric swing?  The Happiest Baby on the Block DVD and book has great tips for comforting babies of this age. I got the book from the library and the DVD. If you have a sling or carrier, your baby may be happier being carried.

  5. I don't know about food or anything like that.

BUT, if you turn the TV on and tune it to a channel where there's no reception, the white noise will most likely make them stop crying because that's what they heard when they were in the womb.

    Hope it helps.

  6. put a drop of peppermint extract in some water. have you given her gas drops? My daughter was very fussy and gas drops helped her.

  7. gripe water! worked well for my colic baby.
