  1. I would give them money.  That is the traditional gift and this way they can get whatever they need.  Usually you give a non monetary gift for the bridal shower.  I got one gift for my wedding which was a Lenox vase and I have never used it because it was expensive and I was afraid of breaking it.  Not to insult you but it usually looks cheap to give a non monetary gift.  It looks like you couldn't afford to give money in an envelope.  It is also easier for the couple at the end of the night to take home envelopes instead of gifts.  You could give money with a small gift but I would definitely give money.

  2. i would get some pictures of them and make a beautiful scrapbook instead of a photo album. then for another gift i would get them maybe something they like or they're interested in. since you know her well then i should be easy to know what they like.

    good luck!!

    hope this helps!! : )

  3. Giving a photo album is a nice idea but to give a smile book would be a better idea.  Smile books look nicer and fully customizable.  A photo blanket would be very nice as well.  Video collages make nice sedamental gifts  too.

  4. There is this thing you can buy at THINGS REMEMBERED, they have them in local malls. It is a little scroll holder (shaped like a long slender tube), its silver and you can get it engraved with the names of the couple and their wedding date etc and it us used to hold the marriage license. It is inexpensive, different are really cute.   OR you can get them a gift certificate for massages so they can get them together and relax after their wonderful yet stressful wedding. and I'm sure she will enjoy that since she is prego too!!

  5. something totally cute and sentimental from your local engraving store (check the mall)

  6. A blanket with there names and or the date of the wedding would be nice, something she can use and have in the living room for a long time.

You could also buy her a mommy-to-be pampering session. A lot of places here offer special types of massages for pregnant women plus they do pedis and manis.

  7. How about something for the baby, like a starter set, really nice blankets, bottles and stuff like that.

  8. Question? Did she not register? I know it sounds like it is not very personal but in my experience, I registered for things I needed or would like to have. I think that picking something from her registry would be nice. Along with it, you could always give her a little something that would be a memory from high school that you two share in common. I say stick to the registry so you know she is getting something she wants and will get some use out of.
