What can i improve on my computer to get it to download faster.?

My computer says it has 2047mb of ram and that i have 156GB avail. is either of these contributing to the slow download time. I have time warner and everyone says that its the best in the area, so why is it taking long to load. I feel i should also let you know that i have wireless internet. I have already tried doing disk clean up and defragmenting. Any ideas.

try going to dslreports.com and click on the tweak test.  The site will evaluate your connection and will give you a list of options to tweak your speed.  Also run a speed test.

wireless internet causes the net to go slower and also how much can u download because if u downlaod too much it takes longer to download stuff
